From the moment I was able to understand that one day I’ll be on my own, based on my individual choices and merit, my parents have always stressed the importance of having a good education. Excelling in school means entry into a good job, and with that comes a risk free, happy lifestyle. This idea has been embedded into my brain day by day, and not because of pride or self satisfaction, but because my parents want me to live a better life than we do now, and not have to work in a laborious job like my father does. Aside from having to complete a high school education, you must complete a bachelor’s degree and four years of medical school, then go through a five year surgical residency program. The best way to start off is by applying and enrolling into a university with a good pre-medical program, and completing your undergraduate studies. Earning a degree in classes such as Biology, Chemistry, or Physics will aid your way to becoming a surgeon, since those classes are all related to medicine, it is best to excel in these fields. Personally, being a 4.0 student leads me to believe that it is something that I can obtain if I truly put my mind to it, and dedicate my life to the practice.
