Preparatory Elements: My purpose is to complete this assignment, but most importantly, to learn and go into depth of the way I view the world. The audience I would share my view with are the professor and the grader(s) of this assignment. Likewise, if this assignment is shared with my classmates, my audience would be the people that are in natural resources. However, they may or may not have the same world view as me. I have always loved nature and wanted to somehow be involved with natural resources. As soon as I learned that Iowa State had an NREM program (the only one in the state of Iowa), I was eager to start my journey. Iowa State has held multiple opportunities for me to visit national parks one including Yellowstone, but I didn’t have the funds. However, I think those opportunities are what shape the students in the NREM department. Aristotle believes that humans will find the most enjoyment out of their reasoning based on their “true nature” (Shields, 2015). This one belief, agrees with how I view ideas morally. People will find enjoyment in what others may not and vice versa. My enjoyment is nature and preserving the land for future generations and this based on my “true nature.” Though, I may think preserving the land is good, not many others may think that because their definition of good may be different.
