The main reason I want to go on this program is because I want to travel. Since I don’t really get to travel much, this seemed like the perfect opportunity for me to do so. There are many countries that I want to visit and see; Italy has always been one of those countries. Their culture is so different from ours and hopefully, I am able to learn more about it. I also want to be able to gain the confidence to travel on my own in the future. Since I just started college, I don’t think that I am ready to travel on my own. This program will give me the opportunity to travel without relying on family while still having people who will make sure I am safe. Visiting other countries have always been a goal of mine. I think it’s important to visit other countries and learn about their culture because the United States is only one country. There are so many different people out in the world and I want to meet them and listen to their stories. I would also love to learn another language. Like travelling, learning new languages is also a goal of mine. I’m always impressed when I meet people who speak multiple languages. Learning a new language would help break cultural barriers. I know I won’t become fluent in Italian anytime soon, but hopefully, after this program, I will be able to speak simple sentences. In terms of life experience, I think this will be an unforgettable experience. I know that in programs like this, the students all get to know each other very well, so I’m hoping that I will make great friends in this program. I am an introvert, so this program will help me break out of my comfort zone and help me meet more people. Furthermore, I also expect to learn how to travel without being too dependent on family and
