Mimicking the way companies are run by business leaders, as a child, I would organize a “business” where I collect candy on Halloween, and use it to obtain a profit from family members and neighbors. I have always been fixated with the idea of owning a business that has the ability to create products or services that will make people satisfied. The appeal of building a new business and the ability to gain a profit introduced my interest to become involved in business. I would like to expand on my knowledge of entrepreneurship and gain experience in creating and distributing a product.
My familiarity with entrepreneurship has originated with informational classes taken. A few years ago, I took the opportunity to become educated about the world of economics. Prior to taking this class, I did not have any knowledge of businesses and the factors that went into creating them. But, by taking this class, I learned useful information about the economy and how it is beneficial to the world, which helped me gain knowledge on how business leaders become successful. …show more content…

I attended workshops that helped me to learn how to collaborate effectively with others to present ideas, and learned that most topics, from computer programming to public speaking are all a vital part to business. Through my membership in this organization, I have been able to network with others, be able to gain more confidence, and enhance my leadership skills.
