I am most attracted to Loma Linda University’s mission to make man whole and continue the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ and its commitment to faith and science. As a Seventh-day Adventist christian, the motto to make man whole has never been more personal than it is now. As I grow in my experience as a christian, to further the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus continues to take center stage. This mission and an understanding of the need for whole person care is something I seek to demonstrate and encourage through my profession as a nurse and involvement in my community.
Dear Rossier School of Education Faculty, Throughout my education I was not expected to succeed, english being my second language and attending low socioeconomic schools in the city of Santa Ana I was deemed to dropout of school like the majority of children before me. I rarely remember having a student-teacher relationship with an educator throughout my education, and as I succeeded academically my teachers were surprised but nothing more than surprised. Then there were the teachers that made all the difference, teachers that went above and beyond and left an everlasting impact on how I view education, and essentially what made achieving a higher education possible. With the guidance of teachers, instructors and school faculty I was admitted to the University of California Irvine which was not only an accomplishment and a dream of mine but an accomplishment for my family. My journey through education is still the reality of many children attending low socioeconomic schools and/or public schools today, Just like the amazing mentors I had throughout my education, I want to make a difference alongside of them by creating positive and supporting
By being a part of the legacy of Baird Scholars, I could be a student who represents the core of what the Baird community is, a student who pushes them-self to work hard, serve others, and become interdependent with others so that we may all grow stronger and smarter together as a
In our current day and age, we live in a world of near-unlimited access to information and extraordinary computing technology. A world of smartphones and online communities, almost everybody has some model of iPhone or Android. Best Said by the Pew Research Center “Overall, 84% of U.S. households own a computer, and 73% of U.S. households have a computer with a broadband connection to the internet, the bureau reported.”, indicating the size of the online world here in the US. It seems as if computers now rule the world, and this has interested plenty of individuals. I included a computer geek who’s now attending Penta Career Center for the Information Technologies Academy Program.
I stepped onto this campus with aspirations of being a Nurse one day, with dreams of nurturing those in need of my assistance whenever needed, in clinics and hospitals. Nevertheless, one semester later, I see myself studying abroad one day, representing our school in more than just medical settings, and hoping one day I can give back to this school, if it 's in scholarships, research, or knowledge, what they invested in a small Aggie

All along, I have managed to maintain the principles of ethics and integrity, a strong sense of purpose, and morality, which binds me rigidly. Appointment as student leader in all stages of my school and college life has presented me with opportunity to interact with people, develop organizational and communication skills. My involvement with speech, debate and sports has made me more than just an academic person In the pursuit of excellence and with a passion to reach the highest skills in my discipline, I look upon University of Texas, Arlington a springboard to accomplish my dreams. This esteemed institution can serve as a ladder and enable me to achieve higher aims by providing me the most contemporary input and exposure.
I aim to achieve this goal with the help of your institution by working hard, continually advancing my education, and using evidence-based findings to guide my
Eagerness to learn, attention to details, and willingness to put in required effort and time, all qualities I wish to continue to practice as a student in AP English 12. As a student of organization and willingness to participate in classroom discussions and interactions, I believe those attributes of me as a student set me up for success in this class. My enthusiasm in learning has been a leading factor in my decision to apply for this rigorous course my senior year. While there are other options available this is the course best suited for me due to my attention to details and readiness to dedicate time and effort into this class. As an AP English student I am mainly interested in continuing to practice and develop reading and writing skills
Those experiences made me realise that I have clearly found the field in which I would like to specialise in. Currently I am working towards the Access to Science at the Bournemouth & Poole college, finishing in summer 2016 as well as working part time as a qualified Dental Nurse at the Wallisdown Dental Practice in Bournemouth. I have also developed my knowledge academically whilst doing my L2 Maths, L2 English, L3 Dental diploma and now the Access to HE in
Due to my commitment, creativity and enthusiasm I was awarded student of the year. This confirmed to me that I have the dedication and capability to achieve my goals to begin my studies working towards a mental health nursing degree. My current studies on my Access course have helped me to return to a higher level of academic study; improving research and referencing skills and to prepare presentations. Mathematics for nursing has given me more confidence with numbers and improved my knowledge, coinciding with me retaking my maths GCSE. Anatomy and physiology has been of specific interest to me as it has a direct link to the circuit training group that I attend.
Therefore, I learned a lot from my experience and I feel confident that I will be able to apply my skills to my personal life, academic journey and professional

My interest in Accounting stemmed from my optimistic expectation about career development in this field. Accounting is so important in the business world that only on the basis of accounting information, management is able to make investment decisions, and optimize internal operation. Thus, it is widely applied to every business sector. However, due to a strange combination of circumstances, I was matriculated by Biology and Medical Engineering College, instead of the Economic and Management College, in which I could accumulate the knowledge that would allow me to realize my career ambition. Changing major was not easy to operate in our university.
This experience has cemented my aspirations to pursue graduate studies abroad and seek a career in research. A challenging career in research will bring-in problems involving intense intellectual thinking and such a career will be pivotal in unearthing the best out of
