I believe that I have been academically successful throughout my high school years. However, this success did not come naturally to me, it is something I had to work hard to achieve. Over many school years, I have worked to maintain high-grade marks and test scores. At Nicolet, I have maintained a 3.8 GPA in honors and accelerated placement classes. I am very proud of the academic accomplishments I have achieved through challenging myself with difficult courses and balancing my extracurricular activities.

Ever since I was little I wanted to become a Correctional Officer for a few years then transfer up to a underdetected cop. How did this come up on my mind of been a correctional officer then soon transfer up by watching movies, tv show. Mostly of because how Fast Furious movies how Brian O'Connor plays the undercover cop and how other movies have undercover cops as well. Knowing that they get into serious ways where you can end up dead or injured bad but that doesn't bother me by any chance.
During that time, I helped a variety of people from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds improve their self-sufficiency skills. Ever since I could remember, I have always wanted to help people learn, grow, and make improvements in their lives. That desire has ignited a purpose in me to earn the appropriate degree and certification. This will enable me to render professional help for those persons whom may be facing physical and/or intellectual impairments.

When I complete all of my schoolings I would like to become a behavioral disorder counselor. Life has its twists and turns, but my overall life goal is simple, help others. I want to make an impact on others life, even if it is a small change. For instance, being able to hold a pencil is the difference between a student being able to graduate from Kindergarten and not be able to continue on to first grade. Being a Pediatric occupational therapist will help me make an impact on children at a very young age. Even small changes can have a large impacts, which is why I want to be that change for others.

My dream has always been to grow up and have a career where I am able to help those in need and those who are hurting. For most of my life, I have wanted to be a nurse until I started to do some research and realized that being a social worker is what I want to do. The thought of helping those in need not just medically but in other aspects allows me to feel like I have a purpose to my life. After realizing that nursing was not my dream job, I made an appointment with my advisor in order to get more information on social work and because of this decision I am where I am today.
I have ten years of public school teaching experience in both general education, and special education, in addition to over six years of work experience in the academic environment as a preschool instructor teaching in a variety of settings with multiple age groups. I believe that my previous job experience, personal experience, and stellar education provide me with a strong foundation to help other educators create a learning environment that offer appropriate content, materials, and activities, while using research-based methodologies that are coordinated with a child’s level of development and for which the individual child is ready. My commitment to children has been illustrated by my perseverance and dedication to academic excellence.

The Profession of Social Work as a Career Goal Graduating from high school, I have always had a passion working with kids. I never put into thought exactly what I wanted to do with kids, all I knew was that I wanted to work with kids. At first, my career choice was to become a midwife. There were several complications down the road, in which I could no longer pursue that career choice.
I want to strive to be a better person, so I could make a change in a young person’s life and know when I go home on a night, that I made a difference and that's why I want to pursue my career as a social worker. When I realized that I wanted to be a social worker, I was in my junior year of high school. I knew I wanted to help people, children especially, but I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to go into. I thought I wanted to be in Neonatology or another profession like it. When I first witnessed a social worker, I was getting a treatment in the hospital and saw a social worker working with a family who child had a broken pelvis.
