On June 24, 2022 Roe vs Wade was overturned making the ability to have an abortion illegal (Roe v. Wade overturned: Supreme Court gave states the right to outlaw abortion). Illegalizing abortion jeopardizes a person's freedom to do what they believe is best for their body. Making abortion illegal won’t prevent them from happening; causing unsafe abortions to occur more frequently. People will still find a way to follow through with an abortion even if it is unsafe. Becoming incarcerated, suffering from sexual violence and rape, access and usage of contraceptives, experiencing pregnancy complications, and not being prepared to have a child yet are why abortions should be available everywhere.

The government stripped away the rights of women able to make their own decisions about their bodies which in turn are handed over to lawmakers. Men dominate politics more than women. Majority of people deciding to ban abortion are men.
