Rights to abortion has been a very touchy subject because many people have opinions on ether it should be legal or illegal. Women should be allowed to have access to an abortion since they carry the physical burden of carrying and birthing a child, and are capable of making decisions on their own. The right of people to make informed choices is something that dates back to the era of the Enlightenment, where philosophers argued that everyone should have the ability to be a free thinker and individual. These ideas are consistent throughout the pro-choice movement which argues that women should be able to make decisions about their body for themselves, which has led to their right to abort as an option.
