The spread of Zika in the United States this summer is expected by several health experts and combined with tough new restrictions on abortion puts women in a very difficult situation. The disease caused by the Zika virus does not do much more than feel like a harsher version of the flu but it puts pregnant women at more risk for microcephaly which is a birth defect that causes babies to be born with smaller heads and cognitive difficulties. Many states prohibit abortions while others make it extremely difficult at all leaving women to clandestinely seek out other abortion methods which are rather dangerous for the mother most of the time. Women should not have to surreptitiously look for other methods which usually are illicit and not safe just because there is a law that says they do not have the right to their body and abort a child who will already be born with a defect making the life of the mother and the child much harder especially for women who already face daily struggles such as poverty. There are many stealthy online pharmacies in which many women turn to in such cases to get abortion pills as their last resort. Although abortion is prohibited by many states there are still many “clinics” that furtively and illicitly perform the procedures for the money as they are usually very costly. Unfortunately there are a lot of “clinics” and sly “doctors” who lie about their expertise and manage to trick the women into trusting them which puts their life at risk. Women will usually stop going out as much as before or will completely stop going out in public to prevent unobtrusiveness from growing during their pregnancy so that it will be easier to get rid of the baby without a lot of suspicion raising. A lot of women may turn to binding their stomachs to hide the “bump” from the growing baby which results in an inconspicuous pregnancy that hardly looks like anything and because of this method it gives women more time to seek out other possibilities or
