Every women in the world should have the right to decide how to carry their beings. No government should feel that they have a right to dictate to a person what road their lives should take.
Before 1973, abortion was illegal in America unless the woman's health was threatened. For thousands of years, women have become pregnant in their teens and early twenties, and the babies they bore grew up to be the next generation of the human race. However in the last 25 years, our society has changed. Those who believe a women should have the right to an abortion refer to themselves as pro-choice. After 1973, those who opposed immediately began working to prevent any federal state funding for abortion. Some people believe that abortions are now making teens more promiscuous. They believe this because the access to abortion makes girls more sexually active. If girls know that no matter what risk they take, that have an option to have a way out and continue to redo it. Antis say women who get abortions are selfish and uncaring because instead of using condoms, the pill or IUDs to prevent it, they have unprotected sex and use abortion to deal with it. Many make arguments that every baby can be a blessing for somebody's family. Many people in a country who desperately want a baby but have problems getting pregnant or health reasons adopt.
