15 February 2023 Have you ever had to wait in a line so long, you only had maybe 10 minutes to scarf down your food? Well, there are many people who have. A typical high school lunch always goes by fast and you usually have to hurry up to finish your food. If the school started a 10-minute countdown from the time the lunch bell rang, that would possibly give everyone time to either get in line, use the restroom, or find a seat, or if you brought your lunch you could have some extra time to visit with your friends. The schools could also hire a few more workers to help things run more smoothly and quickly. A little extra help never hurt anyone. When kids don’t get enough time to eat, their brain focuses on how hungry they are instead of trying to think about what they need to be learning in class. Most teachers want their students to use the restroom during lunch, but if they do that and wait in line for the bathroom then they would have an even shorter time to eat their food. Children get less time to enjoy their meals and if they don’t scarf down their meals, then most of their food gets wasted. Kids have to wait in lines, get condiments, find places to sit, and try to rush in all their food before throwing their trays away to leave by the bell.
