We all hate getting jaded, am I right? We also hate having to do things that we are forced to do right? Well, some things just fit in that category like a puzzle. Now, come perfectly lawful with me and say that you have never forced anybody to do something that they didn 't want to. Anyone? I figured. Well, you might think that you did it for a good reason, just look at the other person 's side. Maybe they had thoughts on why you are a horrible person. Well, that 's precisely what second step is.
What is second step?
Second step is basically a program that teaches you about kindness, and how to control yourself. A counselor might walk into the room to teach it, or the teacher that you have might teach it. It is usually 1-2 hours long.
What second step teaches you
If you look into it, there isn 't anything that second step is teaching you other than this one word, empathy; but this one word isn 't something that you can 't look up in the dictionary. Second step doesn 't teach you much of anything other than that.

One reason is that it is extremely boring. Now, this is not a fact, but it certainly a massive thought that the vast majority believe in.
Another reason why second step should not be taught in school is that it is very time consuming, and us students don 't have the longest attention span. The time article stating that was made back in 2013, so, our attention span is even shorter than that, which, added onto the factor that we are teenagers and we have a shorter attention span than adults, I estimate our attention span to be a whopping 6 seconds. This class goes on for 1.8 hours, with occasional videos, which are just as boring, according to us students. With that evidence, do you really think that we would be able to listen to the ímportant´ (By important I mean weŕe never going to use this stuff in my life) things that the teacher is
