About 28 percent of children have household chores im one of them. Children today have several demands for their time. 82 percent of 1,001 parents said they had chores as children, but only 28 percent of them required their children to do chores. However, 75 percent responded that regular chores made kids more responsible. teenagers should have chores because it teaches them responsibility, prepares them for real life, and gives them consequences. Responsibility is important Over time, most parents who children to accept ownership for a task or chore – the children do it because it needs to be done and accept that it is their obligation to do it. Over time, they may even initiate doing a task “because it needs to be done” – not because they are being told to do it. Children all over the world don't have chores an in my opinion they are way less responsible than the kids that have chores. Prepare for real life. The real world is a hard a real thing. Your child will have challenges and will no how to face them that's when preparing for real life coms in. They will also learn that there are great benefits to making good choices. For example, a child who has the chore of vacuuming the floor can make the choice to be responsible and do it, or sit around and let the floor get dirty. The child that does the chore may get an allowance, praise from their parents, or a special treat. The child that refuses to do chores may have things taken away from them little by little until they start pitching in around the house. This lesson can be applied when they are an adult because when you are at work you may get a raise or recognition for completing a job. You could get fired for not completing
