In 2010, 30 percent of teenagers in high school had jobs. The idea of earning money is the main reason teenagers seek employment, whether they need it or want it; however, getting a job while in high school is bad for their health and academic life. Teenagers in high school shouldn't have jobs because of their homework, sleep, and stress. Although the government set limitations on the teenaged work force, their tiring jobs are causing them to not complete homework assignments. Homework is a vital part of their grade for almost every class they take, so not doing it will lower their grade in many of their classes, which also lowers their grade point average, as well as their eligibility for enrollment in colleges.
