Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder also know as ADHD, is the number one most common neurodevelopment disorder being diagnosed to adolescent children today. Typically, the diagnosis is first given during childhood and adolescent years and lasts until adulthood. ADHD is defined as people having trouble concentrating or paying attention, impulsive and irrational behavior, hyperactive, lack of restraint, or persistent repetition of words or actions, etc. Many feel that ADHD is being over-diagnosed because people who don’t have the disorder are being diagnosed with ADHD. Adults argue that ADHD is being overly diagnosed because people will observe inappropriate behavior and are so quick to label a child with ADHD and prescribe them medication, when in fact its just them being a child.
