The rights of people everywhere have always unfortunately been questionable and a topic of hot debate. Since the beginning of time the thought of rights for people especially those of color or different physical characteristics have always been an issue in some form due to those with feelingssuperiority over otherethnic groups. Violating basic human rights is a way for those committing the act,to control and demean theirvictims. Cause of that fact,the Geneva Convention as well as, the Declaration of human rights was put in place in order to prosecute those that acts against basic human rights. What will be emphasized the most now are The Civil Rights Movement and the African genocide being prime examples of atrocities in which allowed the convention to take place and thus, prosecuted the military guards of Hitler’s regime for the atrocities committed by them, those in charge of the African Genocide to be charged as well as, the not frequent enough persecution of those against the Civil Rights movement.Furthermore, to address if Karl Marx concept of conflict theory is correct in that great change/progress in human rights even more …show more content…

The African Genocide was the worst case of genocide ever, the slaughter of hundreds of thousands of people. One of Africa’s worst genocide still to date was the Rwanda Genocide. It was the slaughter of citizens of the Tutsi population by the majority government population of the Hutu population. But why was one group of people targeted for slaughter that includes children and women. What started off as a civil war between the two groups, only got worse when the Hutu people decided to murder Tutsi based off of the Hutu ideology that the opposing group were aliens who were trying to bring back old monarchy and enslave everyone who is Hutu, as a result, the one-hundred-day slaughter
