Alternaternative Drives -ed
Alternative drivers-ed is something a little different than it is now. Alternative drivers-ed is making drivers-ed easier and more affordable. For driver's-ed this year it is almost $500. Some families have a lot of kids and can’t afford that. Our next point is that the time is inconvenient. It is during the summer which causes problems such as family vacations, sports, and hanging out with friends. The last point we have is make it a class so that we still have a summer and have parent taught.
The first point is making drivers ed cheaper. Some families have a lot of kids and can’t afford to pay for driver’s ed. If you have 5 kids your family is going to roughly pay $2,500 for all kids to go through drivers ed. Families that have a single parent have to work their butt off to get that money. Another thing is that with the economy getting tight it can be really hard to buy anything or even find a job. Money is tight right now and families are on a thin line of becoming poor. Almost $500 is a little much for 30ish days of sitting in a classroom and doing 6 hours of driving. The last thing is the driver's ed program does not need a new car every few years. That wastes money when they get a new car every 2-3 years.

However sports and Driver’s Ed can affect summer plans first. Having Driver’s Ed in the summer means you schedule for summer is messed up. Instead of being able to take that July family vacation you’re in driver’s Ed. That makes it hard to have that time with your family. You can’t do Driver’s Ed in June because you have softball or baseball. Hanging out with friends in the summer is hard because your driving times aren’t the same as theirs.
