Tyson is largest meat industry supplier in the world. Even so, the company’s treatment of animals are no less cruel than a typical animal factory. In the recent years, many farms have converted themselves to factory setting to accommodate inflating orders and sustaining larger profits. This result in a fast pace and harsh environment for animals, where their health is less important than money. The animals suffered poorly for human’s tastes. Companies will do anything to the animals, “ ...a worker demonstrated the method for euthanizing underweight piglets: taking them by the hind legs and smashing their skulls against the concrete floor…” (Genoways). Animals have to endure a lot of pain before they died. Moreover, companies must demand to regulate the amount of animals they produce. Since, “Workers at the Willmar Poultry Company—the country's largest turkey hatchery, producing 45 million birds a year—were filmed by HSUS undercover activists throwing sick, injured, and surplus birds into grinding machines while still alive” (Genoways).
Something I didn’t consider was the way they treat animals that literally feed the world. After watching the video I was shown, I was shocked and couldn’t believe the way they treated animals. It’s horrible the way people can do that to living animals with no hesitation. After watching and reading these facts about the conditions that animals are forced to endure on factory farms you might be displeased to learn that 99% of all of the meat that is sold in the United States comes from factory farms. What is Factory Farming?
The meat industry likes to portray to the consumers happy farm animals grazing in fields, having happy lives, and long futures: however, nothing could be further from the truth. Every second innocent animals are being sent to slaughterhouses to be killed in such cruel and inhumane ways. The torture that goes down in slaughterhouses is something the meat industry does not want the consumers to find out. Farm animals that go to slaughterhouses are beaten, broiled, and dismembered alive by impatient, careless workers. Employees at slaughterhouses need to be immediately stopped.
As Perdue grower Carole Morison claims, “The companies keep the farmers under their thumb because of the debt that the farmers have” (Food Inc 15:35-15:40). The profit of the farmers is below the cost of raising the poultry, the farmers are in debt with the bank due to demands to upgrade the animal’s sheds. The birds have no freedom, are kept in overcrowded sheds and suffer a strangling short life. The bird’s organs and bones are not able to keep up with their rapid growing bodies, as a result they become sick. As consumers, we should halt buying meat from such companies that do not treat their cause so much animals suffering.

Animals are being abused everyday and they are not taken into consideration when you see them being abused. They are suffering and they are being abused everyday and you all need to stop it. Animal cruelty is not something that just goes away the person doing it will keep doing it until someone stops them. Everyone needs to stop animal abuse and if everyone starts to make a difference others will to. Animals need help with this and everyone needs to help them.
