Consequences of Overbreeding
“ A dog need not be a purebred to be pure of heart” (anonymous). These days people want a ‘purebred’ dog just to make money off the dog show’s. So the people who breed dogs to make purebreds will overbred the poor mother, if she is too old for old for breeding or show they would throw them out to the streets or give them to shelters. Breeders use a bad idea to keep the bloodline going. Then their idea would cause deformities, then probably the pup gets tossed into a dumpster or a street, sent to a shelter, or dies before birth. Animal breeding should be banned because it causes harm to the animal and a negative impact on Animal shelters.
Animal breeding should be banned. It is causing lots of problems with generations and future generations. For example, Dalmatians used to be the sweetest bred ever, but until 101 Dalmatians came out the kids wanted them and people overbred them then they got aggressive with kids. “ 3.9 million dogs enter shelters each year” (American Society for preventions of cruelty to animals). It’s a sad that some shelters have to euthanized if they are not adopted by a certain period of time because the shelter need enough room for the new ones coming in. That is happening because people kick them to the streets or the owner gives the helpless dog to the shelter or they find puppy mills there is so many reasons that the shelters floods. If there was not so many strays and breeders there would not be so many killings in the shelters. There are 413 shelters on a telephone survey in the united states, but nationwide there is nearly 7,100 shelters. Clearly that is a lot of shelters and know not many people knows that there is that many shelters nationwide. There are so many ways to stop this from happening, but people don’t take action or is not aware of this
