It’s all about the Money $$$ I believe that farm animals should have more rights because even though they aren’t humans, they are still living things who can feel things. There is not a single federal law that protects farm animals. So people take advantage of them and treat them really horribly. Some of these ways include being abused with no protection, they are given growth hormones and fattened up to produce more food, and they are retooled to bear more young. It is so sad the ways that they are being treated. This behavior needs to be put to a stop. Usually the reason for this harsh treatment of farm animals is for the money. People are feeding animals way too much all to make more meat. The more meat that they have, the more meat they can sell to the buyers. This makes them more money. There would normally be no problem with people wanting to bring more money home to their families, but people are being too greedy, and going way too far. Chickens are often raised to have breasts so large that their legs can’t support their body weight. People will do whatever it takes to these animals as long as it means that they make more money.
