125,000 primates are imprisoned in US laboratories every year. 90 percent of primates in laboratories develop psychological issues. If animals have the same parts humans do, why is it okay to hurt them? Do animals not deserve to be cared for the same way people care for other people? Animal Rights has been debated for many years but there isn’t a law yet that is for or against it so the debate continues to go on. One of the major issues animal rights brings is that people who support it want to involve other people to gain more supporters, however with that said, supporters will say whatever they need to in order to get your support also. Like everything else, animal rights has many downsides that will be pointed out. Specific issues that are mentioned frequently range from neglecting animals to the more bigger crimes like drugging animals that are similar to humans and later killing them after they are no longer needed. When animals are used for medical purposes, it is a cruel and wrongful act to practice. In the states of Idaho, Hawaii, Kentucky, Mississippi and North Dakota there is little to no punishment involved for abusing animals. 95% of these animals are not protected by the law. …show more content…

When people decide to get a dog as a pet, you are supposed to teach them at a young age to be playful yet guard the family however if the you abuse your pet, how do you expect it to protect you when you frighten it? Does anyone think about how dogs feel when they participate in dog shows? A positive side to being in the shows is they get to be pampered and show off how beautiful the dog is but dogs can’t speak for themselves, dogs are made to run freely and get dirty not be in bows and have makeup
