Experimentation Through Animals Imagine you are a in a cold and sterile cage. Being observed by scientists through bars twenty four hours a day. They have injected you with aids and a possible cure. There are no guarantees that it will help you at all. This is the only life you will ever know, welcome to the world of experimentation. Animal experimentation is a controversial practice many people oppose. What is animal experimentation? There are many forms of animal experimentation the one I will be talking about is the medical form of it. In the medical experimentation they use animals to test cures or learn more about the pathogen or disease in general. Animals used in animal testing has their lives wasted in the name of medical science (Berlatsky). Some animal experiments are not prevalent to human health. Many animals are then subject to cruel deaths. When animals are tested on they are injected with the viruses and diseases the scientists want to research further. Often times they are injected with a possible cure. More often than not this cure doesn't work(Baker). If it doesn't work than the animal is subject to a cruel death through whatever terrible disease it has been infected with.
