Over millions of animals are dying each year from tests done in laboratories across the U.S. Animals are getting tested on but they are harmful tests that can kill them. We could use a program or micro-dosing. Animals are getting killed from experiments, so we have to use a program or micro dosing.
What is animal testing? “Animal experimentation is the use of animals as subjects in a medical or product research. This research can range from tests to gauge the effectiveness of a new cancer drug determining if a cosmetic product causes skin or eye irritation” (Animal Experimentation). Animal testing is used across the world to test products, drugs, or chemicals to see it is safe for humans. But there is a darker side, animals are given something that will kill them or put into a situation that will kill them. Then after the study the body of the dead animal.

In laboratories across the U.S., animals are forced to take a new drug, have a cosmetic put on them, or injected with chemicals for experiments. “Even cats and dogs are used to try medicine before people buy them” (All About Animals). Scientists do this to see what will happen or is it safe for human use. But the animals are the ones getting hurt and killed. It isn’t right to force them to take something that has a possibility to kill them.
The drugs and cosmetics tested on animals are still not safe. A drug called thalidomide was tested on animals and was “safe”. The drug was supposed to help with morning sickness for pregnant women. But, when the women gave birth to their babies, they were deformed due to the drug (Fellenz). This proves that not everything tested on animals that came back positive are safe for humans.
