Should there be a bill of rights protecting animals from all human corruption? Recently, there has been a debate on whether the animal bill of rights should be rejected, amended or passed. If passed, millions of animals living in fear and danger, will receive rights that will guarantee them a safe place and medical attention. If rejected, animals will still continue to endure the torture they currently face, like experimentation, exploitation, and poaching. On the other hand, the bill of rights may be amended to include alternatives so the amendments won't sound to crazy. While I do agree that it's horrible for animals to be tortured, and killed brutally, bi also believe that animals need to be used by humans for specific purposes. According to research, animals are biologically similar to humans since they have a shorter lifespan which means they can be studied throughout their whole lifespan (California Biomedical Research Association). To put it differently, experimenting on animals, allows researchers to see the effects of certain factor so they are able to collect more data on it and understand it to find a cure. So as it's shown, experimenting on animals is helpful for the diagnosis and cure of disease and illnesses that affect humans and even animals. Additionally,animals experimentation can be used to determine the safety of products, for the consumer, workforce,and environment (Animal Research, 2011). To put it differently, animal testing serves as a way to check if a product is safe or not. If animals testing were not to be used to check the safety of a product, many people, particularly children, would become ill, or probably die from using the unsafe
