At first no one believed that any man could land on the moon, but on July 20th 1969, the world took a big twist and that’s when Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and the Eagle landed on the moon! This event is known as Apollo 11. This mission was almost impossible to achieve but they ended up successfully completing the task.
John F Kennedy states in his speech Moon Speech on September 1962, “I believe that this nation should commit itself to achieving the goal, before this decade is out, of landing a man on the moon and returning him safely to earth.” Seven years later this was ac complished.
