Introduction

Cjs school is made to help children find their place in society and help them reach their goals and have a quality education. Cjs School is different because students choose what classes they will take to prepare them for the future they choose, the school offers normal classes as well as classes not offered at high school, but they take whichever they want to help them succeed in the future. The school will be set up in order to help them reach that future and provide a safe place for them to be themselves.

At this school, students will take the classes that they want to help them succeed in the future of their choice, instead of classes chosen for them that everyone else has to take. Emerson said in his essay “A man …show more content…

He is saying the traditions of conformity run deep, at this school traditions will be changed and the school will be directly focused on the individual student and they won 't be seen as numbers but will each know personally and helped along the way. School can be overwhelming for some, Thoreau says “ as he simplifies his life... your work need not be lost” (Thoreau). By this, he means that if things are more simple then it will be easier to achieve your goals and all your hard work will not be for nothing. The classes will be set up with fewer students so they can have more attention, and they will only have to take classes that are part of their career path which will simplify their education and help them work harder. Emerson says that “We but half express ourselves” (Emerson). At this school, students will learn how to fully express themselves and feel safe being themselves and showing people who they really are and what they can really do. He also says “We are ashamed of that divine idea which each of us represents” (Emerson). People are afraid to be themselves because of the way society put kids in a box that at this school people will have a chance to be themselves in a safe space. Cj’s school is created to make children feel safe and then they will learn how to be themselves in society instead of accepting conformity.
