Contact sports are worth the risk. They benefit students in so many ways. We should first start tackling at a young age. That would help solve some of the issues. Contact sports also help in the classroom. It helps students learn discipline and accountability in the classroom. And lastly, you don’t have to play the game to be affected by the game.
First off, we should start tackling at a young age. If you play sports then you are willing to get hurt. When you sign up for a sport like football then you know that you are going to get tackled so you have to be fine with that otherwise you wouldn’t be able to play the sport. Little kids can’t run, and they don’t weigh anything. How much damage can they do?’” This source says that when we are little kids the risk of getting concussions are very slim because they aren’t running and tackling at the same rate that professionals are. When kids do contact sports they become more aggressive with other kids because they think the other kids can take a hit too. These kids trying to tackle them can therefore hurt the other kids and cause more harm to the kids. This is a valid point but, contact sports give kids an outlet for energy and it helps kids deal with their emotions. If a kid gets really emotional out on the mat or field then they will have to be able to control their emotions or they probably won't be able to perform as well as they could do. Being able to control your emotions is a big part of sports and how you perform. So sports don’t make kids more aggressive they might actually make kids able to handle their emotions
