There was no love for these dogs as their fate seemed to only hold darkness and hate(Animal Fighting Case Study: Michael Vick).Dog fighting is a worldwide crime that includes gambling, animal cruelty and horrible futures. Even though many say that a dog is their property, dog fighting is a horrible, cruel sport that should have a harsher punishment because it is animal cruelty and was made by cruel, heartless people who deserve to die a tragic death. Fighting dog owners usually try to save themselves by claiming that ‘the dog is their property, they can do what they want”. As a dog is –technically- one’s property, this claim does have some truth to it.. A fighting dog owner usually pays or adopts the dog, so the dog would be considered legal propertySome people have anger management and this helps them.
Many years ago, pit bulls were considered “Nanny Dogs” because of their loyalty and gentleness toward their guardians. They were also once an American favorite, earning the title “America's dog. “Unfortunately, people soon found ways to exploit pit bulls' Behaviors and tendencies for dog fights, and their strong appearance became a symbol of violence, drug culture and gangs. Today, pit
Pit bulls were used to that and it created their aggressive behavior. Dog fights affect how pit bulls act and people still
Pit Bulls are strong and fast, which made them ideal candidates for dog fighting. Once they were tied to the word “fight,” movies started to use Pit Bulls in scenes with violence and crime. Unnatural behaviors taught to these dogs caused them to be feared and hated by many, so many that they are now banned in nearly 700 US cities, including Miami-Dade County (ASPCA). Pit Bulls have been banned from flying with certain airlines
According to Save a life’s Facebook page, in Los Angeles alone there are 200 Pit Bulls killed every day, making it 1,400 killed a week and 72,800 killed a year just in Los Angeles alone (Save a Life, 2012)! If my solution of promoting education and training for Pit Bull owners and their dogs were to be enforced the number of Pit Bulls killed would decrease sufficiently. This would be the case because all Pit Bull owners would be held responsible for educating themselves on the breed before adopting a Pit Bull and properly training their Pit Bull throughout its life in their family with the proper tactics and socialization skills. After a few years of continuous work by Pit Bull advocates and the dogs’ owners, there would be a noticeable change in how the world and society views Pit Bulls. There would not be any news reports of a Pit Bull attacking and killing again.
Why there is no stop to dog abuse? Why do people continue to beat these animals people ask, There is no answer, no law stating no animal abuse so no stopping it. These poor precious animals have a soul, and feelings to. If these animals continue to be treated this way they will continue to be aggressive towards people.
“In Calgary, Alberta, Canada, they wrote a community policing policy that focuses on aggression of dogs rather than the breed of dogs. ”Best Friends Animal Society explained three are mitigating factors in dog attacks, 97% of the owners had not sterilized the dogs, 84% of the owners had abused or neglected their dogs, and caused dog bites, and 78% were using the dogs as protective dogs for farms, or himself instead of keeping the dogs as home held pets.” With the safety of the US I think we should focus on bigger causes like maybe helping the homeless, instead of worrying about mistreated dogs. I can think of many problems in the Us, instead of pitbulls, like the constant rise of inflation, and other things that are hurting the US. What might happen to
According to the Mid-American Bully Breed Rescue, there are approximately 5,000,000 registered pit bulls in the United States alone (Pit). Of that 5,000,000 there are roughly 35,000 in shelters. In Los Angeles alone, 72,800 are euthanized each year; if you break that number down, that means about 200 helpless pit bulls are euthanized each day, however if you would rather look at the bigger picture, in the U.S., 728,000 pit bulls are euthanized in just one year. Numbers like these are immensely horrid especially if you are an animal lover. Research was found to try to notify and persuade people into taking action in the spaying and neutering of their animals, eliminating animal abuse as well as dog fighting.
“I was walking home one day and this woman had a dog with her. As i was passing the woman the dog sprang at me...”(dogbite.org) said Colleen Lynn. She grew up loving dogs and still loves dog but she said it felt like a “betrayal”. “Dogbite.org claims that 65% of deaths from dogs are from pitbulls”(dogbite.org).

Has there been a situation where it was hard to find, out what type of dog to get? I had that trouble too, but I always decided that I wanted to get a Siberian Husky. Instead of getting a Boxer or a Shetland Sheepdog (Shelties), I should get a Siberian Husky. They all have a background, the cost for purebred, the cost for adoption, and certain ways to take care of them. Boxers are a good dog to have, and Boxers have a lot of history.

An average 16,000 dogs die each year from dog fighting. Some die in the pits when fighting, others die because they are killed after their owner believes they can’t fight any more. No, dogs should not be executed for biting someone. My First reason that dogs bite is that they are left unattended in yards and are poorly trained. Another reason why dogs bite is they feel scared. Dogs can bite because they feel threatened. They can also bite to protect their puppies, toys, or food.
Animals all over the world are being abused every single day most of them will not make it to see tomorrow or have the love of a family they desire. Animals are not just objects used for your entertainment or for your sports but they are meant to either be wild or to be loved by a family who will not abuse them. You should not abuse them or abandoned them to fend for themselves when all they need is a little bit of love to make them happy. There are many sports that use particularly dogs and most of them are called dog fights which are used for your entertainment and they abuse the dogs to make them fear humans and other dogs. Dogs should not be afraid of other dogs but they should be able to cooperate with each other and have a family that will not abuse them and make the fight.
