In 2005, Council Bluffs, Iowa Pitbulls were banned, But the number of dog attacks increased. For many years pitbulls have been known as a bad dog breed, for children and adults. Recently Pitbulls have been banned from many cities, making it hard for pitbulls, and their owners to move anywhere. This has been trending recently because of the recent dog attack rates. Pitbulls should not be banned anywhere.

On average if they were to ban pitbulls nationwide, it may cost four hundred, and seventy six million dollars every year. This includes enforcement of the law, related vet and shelter care, euthanization and disposal, and legal fees, all of this adds up to billions every 5 years. That is a big cost for something, that is not that big of a deal. Pitbulls are not that dangerous to pay billions of dollars. Pitbulls, also, are not even the leading cause of deaths in dogs, so surely we should not worry about them now. Pitbulls are rarely harmful, the chances of getting bit are low, if the pitbull is trained. Less than 17% of dogs bite, of those bites around 1.4% of them kill, that means that they are killing 0.00001% of the word population. For every death, taxpayers must pay 11.9 million dollars. This could have a huge effect not only on the American economy, but could also affect the world's economy.
