What is drone? Drone is the eyes in the sky since technology has taken place the world, people no need to fly to look below. It can save more than a thousand Ringgit than carrying the huge camera on the helicopter or plane. Drones are better known as ‘Unmanned Aerial Vehicles’. These are small aerial vehicles with fixed wings and small rotors, usually powered with chargeable batteries and equipped with a high resolution camera. We can see it is far easier than driving around for hours looking for animals in the forest and the risks of being attack by wild animals can be reduce drastically without hurting them. Drones can be departed to fly in front of Safari vehicle to scan the area for sighting. It also can be used to search for missing or sick animals since it has wide range camera that can be attach to its body. Furthermore, it can help the forest ranger to do investigation if there is any illegal logging and mining activities happen. A past few month before, there were illegal bauxite mining activities happened in Kuantan, Pahang. The issue did not come to its end since no one appeared to admit their fault. People around those areas were getting mad day by day due to the dust and the sound came from the trucks that passed by their residential areas non-stop days and night. Road and vehicles became red-brownish, limited sight for road user especially at night effect from the bauxite mining. So, with help from drone’s enthusiast, the authorities manage to catch the responsible ones.
