Imagine being an older male or female and it is very hard to get out by yourself, and you do not have any family to take you to the doctors, the grocery store or even to get out and enjoy yourself. You would eventually get depressed and start to have worsening health problems if you could not get out, and be active. Allowing elderly people to get out and participate in events would give a fun way to exercise and they would make new friends. “Older adults make up 12% of the US population, but account for 18% of all suicide deaths” (American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy par). I am asking for $100,000 a year to help pay for expenses like, gas, buses, office space, office workers, and background checks. Businesses that donate for my grant will be more likely to get more elderly clients because they will think that corporation does care about their health. Businesses that donate to my grant will look good and be giving money to keep elderly people healthy and happy.
Due to any inclement weather, each member will be notified at least one day in advance. Certain volunteers will be responsible to keep track of the weather and a collective decision will be made. If there will be any danger at all to the members, the event will be postponed and will be rescheduled for the following week. The events for the later weeks will be put back to allow for the cancelation. Elderly care gives elderly people with no family the chance to feel loved by people that might be in a similar situation. No one, no matter the age should have to feel lonely and even people that live in elder homes need a chance to get out and enjoy themselves. Elderly care will be a growing non-profit organization that will continue to give people the chance to enjoy their lives and not feel depressed because of their health
