Something I have realized growing up with a gay uncle is that he is one of the happiest people I have ever met; He is always laughing, smiling and telling jokes. Everybody in my family loves him and accepts him just the way he is. I personally believe he would make a great father to a child someday. I strongly believe gay couples adopting a child is one of the best ideas being thrown around in today’s society. They deserve a life of happiness just like the rest of us. With that being said, we can see there is not much happiness left in the world today, so why take it away from a child who deserves a loving family? One that will take care of them, and raise them correctly? Why take the opportunity to adopt a child away from a couple just because they are of the same sex? Same sex marriage has just been made legal, and I know not everybody in the world is happy about this choice, but to be completely honest, why not? It is not affecting anybody in this country other than the people who just recently gained their rights back. The truth is, most children raised by a same sex couple aren’t going to think twice about it; They aren’t going to think any less of their parents just because they’re interested in something different, or because somebody once said same sex couples are not appropriate. Homosexuals have a lower divorce rate than heterosexual couples, which only proves they are happier, and have a stronger marriage than most straight couples. To me, this means the child has a chance of growing up happier than a child of a straight family. If that’s not a good sign, I don’t know what
