The debate around same-sex marriage was is a good idea to legalize it. I believe that same-sex marriage should be legal. I don’t think there is anything wrong with people of the same sex getting married. Now the concept of traditional marriage has changed and the power of love is more important than gender in my opinion.
LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Transsexual) youth homelessness makes up only 5 to 7 percent of the general youth population, yet up to 40 percent of youth experiencing homelessness. Many LGBTQ youth face harassment, victimization, violence, social stigma, rejection, and discrimination in their families, schools, employment, and social settings. LGBTQ identified youth ages 13 to 17, provides important information regarding how LGBTQ young people experience life in their communities. Nearly half of LGBTQ youth (47 percent) surveyed they do not “fit in” in their community, while only 16 percent of non LGBTQ youth reported feeling that way. 63 percent stated that they will need to move to another part of the country in order to feel accepted.
The reason that most people use to back up their claim is, “The bible states that it is wrong,” however, this is not much of a strong argument because it’s your religion to believe in but you should try to force your own religion onto other people. Basically under the first amendment, everyone is entitled to the freedom to practice their religion, but it also works the other way so you can practice your religion but cannot force it onto other people. So a person can choose to believe in your religion and to believe that homosexuality is wrong or they can choose to believe in something else and to approve of same-sex relationships. Another reason that people use to argue homosexuality is that couples are to be made up of a male and a female. However, if this is true, then how come according to statistics from the Williams Institute at the University of California Las Angeles that right now more same-sex couples are open to the idea of formalizing the relationship through marriage while divorce rates are much higher for straight couples than same-sex.

Many people praise brands for doing such things as supporting LGBT, there are still those who do not support these causes and will therefore drop any brand that promotes gays. Though this group of people who oppose equality, the consensus many support and feel that advertising to gays is no different than doing so for latinos or blacks. If you take a look at American life 50, 60, and even 70 years ago, its much different from the life that we know today. People of today do not have to constantly watch their backs, or remind their children that they are not allowed to play outside because of one simple factor; skin. Our progress is undoubtedly a positive slope, but as the saying says, there 's surely always room for improvement. The question we should ask ourselves is if we are doing enough to ensure that our past advocates, and philosophers, and supporters did not die in vain because then we would be unworthy of claiming the rights that they fought so hard for. The civil rights movement has always been a major political and civil unrest, but civil rights activists created unrest for their kids, and their grandchildren, to secure equal treatment for everybody.

We are provided with it and as we take our life long journey we use it as a path that guides us. It has been prone to help and influence the decisions and actions humans take. In most states, homosexuals can adopt children like any other married or single adult. Gay adoption. There is a rising amount of open homosexual couples everywhere and most of them would love to have kids, but it’s still illegal for homosexual couples to adopt children in some areas of the U.S., let alone the world. All across our country, and in other countries, there are children awaiting adoption and eager parents who would like to welcome those children into their homes but are banned from doing so. These parents have done nothing wrong and possess the same skills and resources as other potential parents, and yet they are not allowed to give a child everything he or she needs, love, protection, and security. So why are these potential parents banned from adopting?
