Mental Health is a bigger issue than guns, and mental health will be regulated and not guns if the authority and the government want killings to stop occurring. Taking away guns will not stop killings with guns. People will find other ways to kill people, because people if they want to kill, will kill. Some argue that the guns need to be taken away because guns take away Innocent people’s lives. However, the real reason people are killed by guns is that of the people using the gun.
However, a definite solution still has not been reached and America is split on the topic. The solutions currently enacted focus on guns, yet America still has a serious issue with gun related crime attacks, and fatalities. Solutions should not solely target the actual guns, because guns are powerless without the person who fires the weapon. The solution should not be to take away guns, but to consider the people who have access to them. Addressing mental health is the real solution to preventing gun violence and attacks.
The problem we have is the people who have the guns. “Gun control laws are just as old or older than the second amendment, the gun control wasn’t as strict as they are now. Gun violence in America is steadily increasing, and the lack of gun control and our inability to do something is to blame. We need strict gun control nationwide, with thorough background checks, required safety classes, major gun buybacks, and firm regulations on guns. Restrictions on semi-automatic and automatic weapons, as well as more precautions as to who has access to these weapons are needed. Every day bad people use guns to get what they want and we need to make it so they can’t get those guns. When bad people get hold of guns then bad things start to happen because of those guns.

In recent years, the number of mass shooting has risen to about one mass shooting per day in the United States. The country is divided with some wanting to reevaluate our gun control laws and either ban or add additional regulations to the purchase of guns. Others say it is our right for Americans to own guns and something the founding fathers considered important to put in the Bill of Rights. The number of firearm sales has risen with the number of mass shooting many Americans question if banning guns or certain guns could help decrease the number of gun violence deaths.
