Every day bad people use guns to get what they want and we need to make it so they can’t get those guns. When bad people get hold of guns then bad things start to happen because of those guns. Guns don’t need to be illegal they just need to be made safer and be restricted. The first thing we need is to make firearms safer. The way we treat cars should be the way we treat guns. We make laws about cars, and manufacturers add features to make them even safer. “We don’t ban cars, but we do work hard to take a dangerous product and regulate it to limit the damage.” (Kristof). We try to make cars safer by adding things that reduce deaths and make cars less threatening to your health. “We do that through seat belts and air bags, through speed limits and highway barriers, through driver’s licenses” (Kristof). Manufactures add things that will keep us safe in cars, and that should be the same outlook we have for firearms. We have requirements in place to keep us safer from cars but not on guns.
