Most parents want to help their children to succeed, no matter whether their children are young or adult, they always want to do something. Although parents do provide a great help when their children are very young, it is not a good idea to help their children when they are college-aged level. They should not be helicopter parents because doing that will make their children become lazy on their education, don’t know how to work with peers, and don’t know how to deal with their own difficulties in the future. To begin, helicopter parents get involved in attending their college-aged children classroom will lead their children not pay attention to lecture. The parents will not always go to the classroom because of work or other things. The professor may talk about something that are highly related to the previous lecture. Since the children always depend on their parents before, and they don’t have any base knowledge, so they don’t understand what the professor talk about. This time they know they need to review all the previous course information. However, it may be too much for them. At that time, they may want to find someone for help and look around. However, they find out that they do not have any friends since before their parents do everything for them, and they do need to solve problem with other fellow students. It turns out that they face great trouble because they do not understand the content of lecture and they do not how to ask for help.
