People are important. You might think people are thriving but you haven’t seen the other side of the story. We could do so many things to help them but we don’t. I have been researching this for a while and all my sources are credible. First I will talk about why homelessness is a problem then I will talk about what the government has done to help then I will talk about what you can do to help.

Homelessness is a problem. 564,708 people are homeless. 15% of which are chronically homeless (a person who has been homeless for a year or more when disabled) 8% of which are veterans. 50% of which are over the age of 50. The way they help is to donate money is to donate money to the people that really care. Their plan helps because the people out there need the money to get themselves back on their feet. The half-a-million people that are homeless can be helped tremendously with a little bit of money. The charities I have mentioned will not take any money and will give it to the people that need it most. Some people think that homeless people don’t want a job. Everyone wants a job sooner or later. The problem is getting one. Jobs in the country are getting slowly taken over by machines.
