Homeless individuals often lack access to basic needs like food, clothing, and education, and lack stable housing, by living on the streets or moving from shelter to shelter. Homelessness has been a problem in the United States for centuries and continues to grow. The president could support this policy solution for the homeless. In this article, our current president Joe Biden released All In The Federal Strategic Plan to Prevent and End Homelessness. In his exact words he said “My plan offers a roadmap for not only getting people into housing but also ensuring that they have access to the support, services, and income that allow them to thrive,” said President Biden” ( The White House, 2022, p 1) From this you could see how President Biden encourages wants to encourage state and local governments to prevent and end homelessness. Homelessness would be more of a presidential executive order supporting underserved communities. I believe that there could be a different outcome in the 2024 election if the president were to get together and do a change and not just conversate on the issue if we all put a little effort into the issue to help those individuals and let us give them the help they need. Homelessness can be a state problem because each state has different policies to follow regarding rent in different states and in certain cities for example rent is really expensive it is getting out of hand in some cities they try to come together to sign petitions for rent to decrease. Lots of people say that trying to buy a home in California is hard and in a different state like Arizona buying a home is so much easier.
