Before Roe versus Wade in 1973, if a young woman became pregnant but she did not want or could not support the child, the common thing was to give the child up for adoption after the gestation period ended. The mother would never have thought to do otherwise, and killing the innocent child would most likely be last in her mind. Sadly, this exact thing is happening world wide. Today, if a mother does not want her child, she often chooses to go through with an abortion.
Of course, there are some circumstances in which an abortion is necessary. If the life of the infant and/or the mother is at stake then an abortion is warranted, but in most other cases it is murder. People often justify abortion with arguing that the fetus is not yet alive, thus it cannot be “killed”. Yet in most states, if a pregnant woman is murdered, the killer is charged

Some people argue that if a young women was raped, the pregnancy was not her choice and she should be allowed to have an abortion. Okay, yes, if a young women becomes pregnant due to rape, it is not her fault; but that does not give her the right to terminate the life of the infant. No, a woman’s life will never be the same after being molested, and she does not want a child to remind her of that moment, but that does not mean she has to abort the baby. There are options other than abortion, including adoption. There are thousands of adoption agencies in the United States, just pick one. The other argument to this is that it is a woman’s right to do what she wants with her body. Women do have a right to their bodies, but when a child is conceived they are no longer dealing with their body, but an innocent child’s. What about the baby and its rights? Think about this, when you choose to abort your unborn child, you are choosing to destroy a potential life and all the potential moments thereafter. Should not that person have the right to
