Drugs legalization is a challenge facing the administrations. The management of drugs has been causing troubles because people are divided on the whether some drugs such as marijuana should be legalized. The criminal justice of the United States has been criminalizing drugs such as marijuana although some states have now started to divert from the old policies. The current trend has shown that the current drug policies will go through changes that will make marijuana become legal for recreation purposes. Countries have adopted a military-like strategy on combating drugs. Law enforcement is arresting many low-level users. The low-level users are only arrested because they cannot buy their freedom after they are caught. The rich will be caught, but once they are caught, they will be willing to give money the law enforcement will demand them to be free. But the poor people end up in jail. Jailing low-level users have increased the number of prisoners who are in prison because of the drug. The fight against drugs has been focusing on the poor, but the rich people go unnoticed. The current policies are harsh on the poor people who use the drugs such as marijuana. The sentences imposed on the low-level users are imprisoned long sentences when they get
