In the 100th Issue of Forbes Magazine, Bill Gates emphasizes in his essay the idea of revolution and the power behind it. The digital revolution is what ultimately embarked the beginning of Microsoft, according to him. Even more interesting, he speaks about the impact of generating new ideas, more specifically in technology and biosciences, will have for the world in terms of saving and improving the lives of millions of people. He states in his essay, “The biosciences are filled with prospects for helping people live longer, healthier lives. Big advances in clean energy will make it more affordable and available, which will fight poverty and help us avoid the worst effects of climate change” (Forbes 2017).
Why to go through all the trouble and monetary strains to legalized marijuana as a medical and recreational used? Have you ever asked yourself the question, why the government does not simply legalized the marijuana and settle this debate? We know that the government create and pass laws every day without calling for voting from the public. What so different in this case?
