Marijuana is a controversial and multi-faceted issue in society today. I will be discussing a testimonial about this issue. This testimonial information was retrieved from a news clip in a court room discussing the legalization of marijuana in New Jersey. This meeting consists of lawmakers, government officials from states of legalize marijuana programs and witnesses who share a path of the plant positive effects. Some of the positives of marijuana that was mention in this meeting was marijuana being use for medical issues and most schools will have an increase in capital instruction budget due to the legalization. There are several reasons that supporters support the pros of legalizing marijuana. To begin with, there will not be any illegal selling of marijuana. This will limit the people who sell it illegally and facing five to ten years in jail, and hence they can now sell it legally without any fear of being arrested. Research about marijuana usage is expanding and people is really starting to understand it. I believed marijuana should be legalized for several reasons. It has good purposes and if its legalized it will give researches a better understand of its usage. Studies had shown that marijuana could help manage chronic pain and muscle spasms. The major mechanism through which legalization is likely to increase recreational cannabis use is by substantially reducing the price of cannabis (Hall & Lynskey, 2016). By doing that it will make it more easier and safer to obtain a regular supply of a commodity which it is lawful to purchase and consume.
