In today's world, many people have intense debates on whether it is a drug or not. With few exceptions, including recreational marijuana and medical marijuana, marijuana is still illegal for most people in the United States. The substance is becoming more openly accepted, discussed, and used among members of the society, however on the legal standpoint it is not allowed. Marijuana should be legal because of the large amount of money the states will make, the addition of jobs, less illegal use of the substance, and for medical assistance. If marijuana becomes legal to the public, the state is able to tax it as much as they want.
