Many people think marijuana, (also known as weed, pot, hemph, or mary jane), should be legalized, while others don’t believe this. Marijuana should be legalized due to its potential to do good in the world. Marijuana has many health benefits that cure diseases, it’s less harmful than alcohol or tobacco, and it’s safer than some over the counter drugs. There are many health benefits to smoking marijuana. Many people use it for recreational use but there are more uses for marijuana. “It reduced stress in the trenches.” Gottfried was talking about men smoking during the war in the 1900’s. Nor is there any known fatal dosage.” According to Gerber they have proven deaths due to drugs, that are legal and anyone can access just by going to your local drug store. You can misuse almost any over the counter drug, especially pills, but you can’t overdose with how much marijuana you smoke. Even when doctors prescribe marijuana, to help with a health condition you have, there’s not a proven way to overdose on it, unlike other prescriptions. I know that if there was a way to cure a condition I had safely without any risk due to it and there was a medication that could cause harm to my body, I would choose the safer option instead of risking my health.
