Healthy Obsession To some, obsession is a destructive behaviour that pertains to addition and indulgence. To some, it can be considered as a constructive quest for perfection and unbridled passion. I believe that to get the most out of life, you have to be obsessed with what you love. In fact, finding a healthy obsession is what most people will characterize as a purpose for living. We are all either searching for our purpose and passion in life or we are already living it. That is exactly what a healthy obsession provides and it is the key to become greatly successful in any field. Obsession makes people transform into leaders and trendsetters from the followers. Steve Jobs has well explained the necessity of obsession. He has been an unnoticeable follower as well. Jobs first started with being a small clerk at a gaming company, however, with his great obsession with technology and electronics, he developed his first own computer in his garage. Steve Jobs’ obsession didn’t end here, it even grew bigger. He soon founded a company which is Apple after various obstacles. It also connects with my father, who was also in situation similar to Steve Jobs. My father was obsessed with managing and engineering when he was in high school. He always tells himself that if you really want to achieve a goal, or to possess an ability, and it is certainly not born with you, you must get obsessed with it or else nothing comes in your way. He worked day and night, he finally worked from a small officer in a company to forming his own company, and became a leader of his own. People who are really obsessed, they will stay up for days, not eat, and will sustain themselves purely on what they love. They will ignore all else. They will live off scraps so they have all times to themselves in order to reach success.
