Henry David Thoreau, an inspiring American author and philosopher, once stated, “It is a characteristic of wisdom not to do desperate things.” Selling and buying organs is undeniably a definition of a desperate doing on anyone’s behalf. Desperation can make any simple human being go to extraordinary lengths in order to achieve, what they believe, to be their solely imperative goal. The one question of how the certain individual will be affected far ahead, is not taken into serious consideration as it should be and must be given a higher significance. Selling and buying organs must be illegal because of the organ trafficking, the exponentially rising black market of this explicit matter, and the transplant tourism madness.

A family or any person, who is constantly searching for any chances of survival, develops into becoming a victim of substance. Expecting money for their survival or their own families is normal for them, yet, expecting the consequence that come with the manipulation does not ring in their thoughts as much as assisting their loved ones or their own life. The atrocious black market fits and correspondingly takes a major portion of this insanity. A huge contribution that the black market has participated in is the fact that everything in the market is unlawful and criminal, hence the name. “The selling of human organs for transplant is illegal in the United States and in most countries; however, such transactions still occur” (Bramstedt, 2010). If the selling of human organs is illegal in most countries and the actions are still completed, problems are clearly presented in the regulation of this matter. With such a poor condition, many lives are at risk. A simple question that needs to be asked here is: who is performing these operations under the black market? Many regulations need to be placed correctly in these situations before it truly gets out of hand.
