It was after the American Revolution. The colonies had just broken free from the reign of Great Britain. The people were weak, tired, but ready to start a new country. There were many arguements about how the government should work: whether or not there should be a strong central government or a weak one. Eventually, a strong central government was decided upon, and then the problem of who was going to run it became a question in everyone’s minds.

So the time has finally come that America has chosen its newest president. And they did so mainly with the "it's one or the other mindset" if anything, really. Since Donald. J. Trump has become the President Elect, no-one has really been happy. Obviously, liberals aren't all that pleased with a man who opposes almost everything they vie for, but even conservatives are having second thoughts, or at the very least, hoping he doesn't really take most of the things that he said literally.
To Dan Newhouse, Although some people say the electoral college is best for the public, it is actually putting chains on their opinions. Many people would say that the founding fathers made the electoral college because it was the best way to vote in their time. But what they don’t realise is that the electoral college is outdated, we have more people, and technology now, and that allows everyone to vote. That is why the electoral college should be stopped, so the chains that keep the citizens opinion’s down are broken.
The Freshman 15 is a thought that crosses the minds of most future college students, but most say that it won’t happen to them. This fear of losing a toned body after graduating high school bothers some more than others. They realize after high school there are no longer athletics, and they’ll no longer be exercising regularly. Also, when they depart from their parents house and begin to live on their own their eating habits change.
Throughout the 2016 presidential campaign and afterwards, when GOP nominee Donald Trump won the Electoral College but not the popular votes, Americans displayed a disconcerting lack of civics knowledge and awareness. Many supporters of Hillary Clinton suddenly began to question why the Electoral College system is still used, while Trump’s supporters chanted for Hillary to be locked up. Whether or not Clinton should be imprisoned, the 2016 election raised a series of provoking questions: Why did it take so long for Americans to realize that the United States has never used a popular vote to directly elect a president? Why are some Americans surprised that now-President Trump is struggling to follow through on campaign promises like sending ‘Crooked
Electoral College Essay The Electoral College system used in the United States to elect the President was created to make voting a smoother process when the country was first founded. At the time, the fastest way to transport people’s votes was by horseback. In today’s world, we have the Internet.
In the story Frankenstein, Victor is the true villain. Victor was the creator of the monster. Although the creature wasn’t a human, he needed to be parented like one, and Victor did not provide for him. The monster did some pretty horrible things, but Victor could’ve prevented this from the start by going back and helping the monster to learn how to do everyday things. Both Victor and the monster are villains, but it's deciding who is the bigger villain that is important.
The first attempt and success to climb Mt. Everest occured in 1953. Since then, almost 4,000 people have been able to scale the mountain, but over 230 people have not been able to climb it successfully. There is a chance of accident or death when climbing this mountain or any dangerous activity. Running, that word gives many people different emotions that range all the way from disgust to excitement. Most people will say that they would never willingly run, at least not without some motivation and other people might even say that they enjoy it. This is why the sport of cross country is so strange to people, in fact it is strange to me as well that people would willingly run, despite the fact that I actually run cross country. The main reason that people don 't think running is fun is because it is so physically challenging. Running requires you to always be on your game, the slightest injury or distraction can prevent you from doing your best.
Free healthcare for everyone I believe everyone deserves to be given free healthcare if they can not afford it. Plenty of people are dying because we don’t have coverage for everyone. More people are needing universal healthcare and we should be able to give it to those in need. This is making us look so bad to other countries.
The Electoral College system is confusing. I'm ashamed to say that when I was casting my vote for a certain person; I had no clue all of the behind the scenes action. I'm actually voting for someone else(electors) who will vote for the same candidate as I have chosen but whose name doesn't appear anywhere on the ballot. . I heard of the Electoral College and Popular votes before but never really understand what it entailed. Voting is a process not just a checkmark to a name on a ballot.
Education Reforms Education reform is legislation to improve the quality of education in the United States. Once, grades were the most important achievement for students. However, politicians and the public were concerned that our standardized test scores were not as good as those of other countries. Therefore, state and national governments started making laws to make school more challenging and to test kids more. One of those laws was “No Child Left Behind”.
