Nowadays in our society, prescription drugs are becoming a huge problem not only for adults but also for all the children/teenagers that are exposed to them. Prescription drugs are easier to find than illegal drugs and for this fact, many teenagers are. In 2012, 24% of teenagers surveyed said they have taken a prescription drug without a doctor's prescription. Prescription drugs are drugs prescribed by doctors to patient in order to help them or treat health problems. While I was doing this research, I found out that “Prescription drugs are the third most commonly abused category of drugs, behind alcohol and marijuana and ahead of cocaine, heroin, and methamphetamine” . People abuse these drugs and they ignore the risks and the disadvantages. A lot of people think that prescription drugs are not dangerous, that’s a misconception. Stimulants, they are meant to treat health problems and sleep disorders like; Narcolepsy and ADHD.
