The wakout of March 14,2018 marked the one month anniversary of one of the many school shootings that have happened in the year of 2018, plus many more before this year. “The walkout is partly a protest to push lawmakers to pass gun reform and partly a memorial to honor victims killed by firearms.” said vox.com “Thousands of students and teachers began walking out of their classrooms on Wednesday, March 14 as part of the the #Enough! National School Walkout to raise awareness about issues of school safety and the impact of gun violence.”said time magazine. yes part of the protest was about gun laws and trying to get rid of creataint guns. When it's not the guns its the people so i didn't agree with that part of the protest. But i do believe that there should be more precautions on people being able to get guns. Or having more safety precautions at schools and making it harder for shooters to be able to get into schools, making schools less of an easy target. Schools should be a safe place and you shouldn't have to go to school each and everyday feeling as if it could be your last. Many students lives have been put at risks because of these shooters and nowadays you could say a simple word to someone and they take offence to it and decide to go and shoot a school. And even in gun shootings where there was one person who wasn't happy and decided that harming others would help someway. Even though usually in the end they end up killing themselves and we have no idea why they decided to do what they did or even why they killed themselves in the end. It's a mental health issue and we have too much of that nowadays and we need to figure out ways on how to stop it. You really can't completely stop something but we can atleast get these events to not happen as oftepn by better protecting
