I believe a brand such as Lucozade taken a good opportunity because they sell energy drinks and by advertising that rugby players drink Lucozade it would attract many consumers to purchase the product. “Marketing has transformed itself into a sophisticated, pervasive force that extends into an every part of our lives. I mean social media is the most beneficial and furthermost rewarding ways of reaching to the viewers and the public. For example, New Zealand All Blacks is the most popular and winning teams throughout the history of RWC, they know how to make their fans be devoted to them; considering the team on Facebook has more than 3.2 million (www.blog.hootsuite.com) likes, and their campaign for 2015 games “WE BELONG” stood out and was extremely positive to their supporters, also, they marketed their team by hashtag “#TeamAllBlacks” this has reached international social media success when people from other countries started supporting New Zealand All Blacks. As said by C.Hackey “social media marketing offers opportunities to leverage mass media coverage to elicit consumer activation, in addition to generating presence for the brand.” (C.Hackley Marketing in Context 2013) I massively agree with C.Hackley, I believe social media influences marketing opportunities as it connects with the consumers and also influences them to interact with the presence, like rugby each team is trying to connect with their supporters/consumers who purchase their promotional material and support the team.
